Hailing from Mumbai, I often feel that great trekking spots around Bangalore are almost non- existant. Most being rather simple and therefore exploited by picnickers. But on Friday, 10th September, I chanced upon what I believe to be the best, most challenging, picturesque and pristine trek in the district.
Umm…I’m not too keen on revealing the exact location though. I don’t want our hill going the Skandagiri way, where one viral mail of breath-taking images transformed a quiet and pristine hill-top into a noisy midnight fast-food joint cum bar. All I can tell you is the trail starts from a discreet hamlet called Chickraipanhalli. Go, hunt for it.
Here are some images from the trip to give you a tantalising glimpse of this place. If you ask politely I might just let you in on our little secret.
In other news, I successfully completed the 10k of the Kaveri Trail Marathon. More on that once the timings are out. As for the new theme….I think i’ll revert back to the old one sooner rather than later. I just wanted a temporary change. Do let me know what you feel though.

I am really enjoying your photograpy, especially your macro work–your photo of the black & yellow grasshopper is spectacular! Hope you get your id…
